Cleanup at Twin Lakes Park with Hudson River Restoration Project

Westchester Parks Foundation is partnering with Hutchinson River Restoration Project for an impactful winter program at Twin Lakes Park! Volunteers will be using hand tools like rakes and limb-loppers to manage non-native vines and shrubs along the trails.

What to know:

  • Please check the forecast and dress for the weather, including sturdy closed-toe shoes, layers, and items you don’t mind getting dirty.

  • All tools, gloves, and instruction will be provided, but please bring your own water.

  • All volunteers must fill out the Westchester Parks Foundation waiver prior to working on Parks property. This can be done electronically at the following link or by completing paper copies on site: https://thewpf.org/volunteerform

Inclement weather:

  • In the case of cancelation/postponement due to inclement weather, volunteers will receive a notice by 8 a.m. on January 24 to the email they used with their Eventbrite registration. Please check email before leaving for the project. If there is no email, the project will occur as scheduled.

Registration for this opportunity ends 24 hours prior to the project start time.
